Andre Ayew believes Ghana’s 2018 World Cup Campaign is not over




Deputy Captain of the Senior National Team - Black Stars, mentioned in an interview after the Stars training session that, Ghana’s 2018 World Cup Campaign in Russia is not over.



Ghana’s International and West Ham United forward player explained that even though it may look impossible to many, in such circumstances anything could happen. Andrew, the Senior brother to Jordan Ayew, who is usually seen on the field of play motivating his team mates in every match added that, there is possibility of Ghana qualifying to the 2018 World Cup.

“Nothing is impossible, it’s close to impossible mission but all those who know me, I never give up. In one game everything can change. We have to stay calm and put everything in the hands of Allah...”

He added that the team is focused on taking each game one at a time whiles they prepare also for the AFCON qualifies.

“We first start with a good result here in Ghana and continue with the rest of the game. We want only but 3 points here and we are going to work towards that”. Andre mentioned.

Speaking to the media after their training session, Andre Ayew added that their goal is to do their best for the nation as they prepare towards the matches ahead.

“The bad results we had against Uganda made it difficult for us in the 2018 World campaign. That is not yet over. We put that one aside and think about the African Cup of nation qualify against Ethiopia” he added.



Meanwhile, the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations which will be held in Cameroon forms the 32nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations. Ghana is in Group F with Ethiopia, Sierra Leone and Kenya.
