Captain
of the Senior National Team of the Black Star, Asamoah Gyan popularly
known in the sports fraternity as “Baby Jet” will be honoured a Doctorate
and an award as Honorary Personality of Exemplary Leadership by
Alfred Nobel University Economics and Law based in Ukrainian.
The
event will be held on the 8th of July, 2017 Kwame Nkrumah University of Science
and Technology (KNUST) at the Faculty of Law.
Asamoah Gyan who
has given back to the society through is charitable works will be the first
footballer of the Senior National Team of Ghana to be Awarded a
Doctorate and the first striker to receive such honour in West
Africa.
As
he celebrates his 50th Goals for the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan who was
honoured by the Multimedia Group (Joy Sports, Joyfm) for this
mile stone, expressed his commitment to continuously give back to society.
He also advised the youth to work hard and take their lesson seriously that
education is the key.
“as
I say, first of all I thank the almighty God for bringing me to Ghana’s, I
thank my mum, may her so rest in peace, she made me who I am, thank my dad
for,.. thank my family, everybody for the support throughout my career from
what I have done…” Asamoah Gyan.
He
also thanked his critics as he mentioned that he has proved them wrong. He
finally urged all Ghanaians to keep supporting the Black Stars.
