“I will beat Usain Bolt if am supported” Yeboah Emmanuel – GNPC Ghana’s Fastest Human 2017

Winner of the 2017 GNPC Ghana’s Fastest Human – Accra Edition said should he receive the support from the Government and other stakeholders he will beat the time set by Usain Bolt, the Olympics gold medalist and 100 record holder in the world.
Emmanuel Yeboah, the fastest rising athletes who was the winner of the U-18 boys category in the 2nd Edition of the GNPC Ghana’s Fastest Human and now the winner for the senior men division. He was first ahead of Shaddrack Opoku and Desmond Aryee in the Finals on Saturday 22nn July 2017.

Mr. Micheal Kofi Ahey , a formal Commonwealth Games 100meters,200meters and Long Jump gold medalist in the early 1960 has expressed dissatisfaction with the less support by Sports Ministry  to athletes over the years. He mentioned that they have been neglected for long and those who raised the name of Ghana in terms of athletics and yet have the skills can also help the athletes.

He added that when given opportunity to coach the athletes unearthed in Ghana, he would be able to within the shortest possible time shape them for International event such as Olympics. “I have seen the good talents that have been displayed here. They have future and with the right training they will be able to excel. When they come under my supervision, I will be able to coach them and prepare them adequately for any major international event such as Olympics” Mr. Ahey added.

Mr. Ahey lamented about some of the behaviors of the young athletes who are more interested in the money and fame. He advised that athletes should focus on their training, and be humble.
