Meanwhile, Christiano Ronald, the 32year old Portuguese International was named the 2016/2017 Men’s Player of the year. Also, UEFA Women's Player of the Year was Lieke Martens, Juventus and Italian number one Goal Keeper, Gianluigi Buffon, was adjudged the Best Goalkeeper of the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League season, Sergio Ramos, Real Madrid Captain and Center Back won Best Defender of the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League season.


In addition, Luka Modrić also from Real Madrid was the Best Midfielder of the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League season and Christain Ronaldo again from Real Madrid was the Best Forward of the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League season. UEFA President's Award went to Roma’s Forward, Francesco Totti for his outstanding achievements, professional excellence and exemplary personal qualities.
