The much anticipated health walk is here
again dubbed “Walk for Love”. The event which is organised by Play and Learn
Foundation an NGO in the University of Ghana campus, University of Ghana
Students Sports Council (UGSSC) and Fitlink Ghana will be held at the University
Ghana campus where the walk will commence at exactly 7am on
9th
September 2017 from Athletic Oval.
Special activities that will
take place on the said date are; 5Km Walk on campus and Aerobics Session.
The main cause of the event is to create
awareness on giving back to the less privileged in society by showing love and
kindness.
Founder of Play and Learn, Nana Kwesi Ohene
call on members of the sports fraternity, members of the University of Ghana community
and the General Public to be part of these health walk.
Meanwhile, Play and Learn Foundation has
created avenue to use sports as a tool to teach less privileged children in the
society. The foundation is also open to stakeholders who wish to support the
cause to ensure that children get the fundamental needs in society of which
education is keen.
