Old Vandals Association Greater Executives sworn into office

The Greater Accra Old Vandals Association (OVA GAR), on Friday 10th August 2018 was sworn into office by the National President of OVA, Mr Isaac Nketia Sarpong.


The current executives under the leadership of Justice Yaw Ofori were charged to continue with the legacy the fraternity stands for and also introduce innovative ways into the Branch’s administration.

Speaking at the ceremony, Justice Yaw Ofori, an Alumni of Commonwealth Hall, now President of the Greater Accra Branch, assured members that his executive team is poised to continue with the great legacy the Association.

“We thank you all for the support, we assure members together with my executives we will continue with the great Legacy of the Old Vandals Association” he mentioned.
Justice Ofori also mentioned that the OVA Greater Accra Branch will be introducing innovative welfare packages to its members, exciting programs, giving back to the Hall and also continuing the charity works of the Branch.


He added that a committee has been inaugurated to review the welfare packages, dues collection and monitoring as well as expanding the various regional cells. OVA GAR has two (2) cells with Madina Branch very active and ready to revive the Burma Camp cell.
The executives of the OVA Greater Accra also pledged to uphold the values of Association and continue to serve the Alumni body. Below are the current executives:
  1. Justice Yaw Ofori – President; 
  2. Albert Akurugu – Vice President; 
  3. Kofi Asamoah – Secretary; 
  4. Emmanuel Hanson – Deputy Secretary; 
  5. Kuttor Evans – Treasurer; 
  6. Benjamin Essiam – Organizer and
  7.  Samuel Ampofo – Deputy Organizer.



Meanwhile, the Old Vandals Association, the Alumni Body of Commonwealth Hall has various Branches and Global Chapters. Currently, there are Nine (9) Regional Branches in Ghana namely: OVA Eastern, OVA Central, OVA Volta, OVA Ashanti, OVA Brong Ahafo, OVA Western, OVA Northern, OVA Upper East and OVA Greater Accra.
The OVA National Executives are currently in the process of inaugurating Upper West Region.

The Global Chapter are: OVA UK, OVA North America, OVA Australia and OVA China.
The OVA Greater Accra meets first Friday of every month at the Ghana Commercial Bank Club House from 6 pm to 8 pm.
