Following the gruesome murder of the Police Officer , Emmanuel Osei and a hawker by name Afua Badu on June 14, 2021 after bullion van "money heist" by some robbers in James Town, Accra, Ghanaians are calling for the IGP to bring back COP Kofi Boakye to the field.
This campaign came up after a video went viral when he was addressing some Police Offices at a ceremony. He indicated that the robbers of the bullion van can run but cannot hide.
Sessions of the general public are calling on the President and IGP to reconsider bringing COP Nathan Kofi Boakye from Research or Administration work to the field.
Police has since open an investigation into June 14 indicent where a young officer, Emmanuel Osei was murdered and a stray bullet knocked off a hawker by name Afua Badu at James Town.
The Ghana Police Service has placed GHs 20,000 on gunmen who shot to death a police officer and Madam Akua, over the recent robbery attack involving a bullion van at Adedenkpo, a suburb of James Town..
