The Ghana Athletics Association (GAA) has invited Saminu Abdul-Rasheed, a level 100 resident of Commonwealth Hall, University of Ghana for the upcoming Commonwealth Games scheduled from 28th July 2022 to 8th August 2022 in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
Saminu was invited according to the Ghana Athletics Association based on his impressive performance at the just ended Federation of African Universities Sports (FASU) Games in Nairobi Kenya, with his personal best in the 100m recording 10.31sec.
He will feature in the 4×100m relay for Ghana at this year's Commonwealth Games.
Massive support from the Commonwealth Hall as many of his friends share their support to him.
Meanwhile, the Team Ghana will be participating in Athletics, Boxing. Swimming and weight lifting which according to the President of the Commonwealth Games Ghana Association, Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah, Ghana can attract some medals in these disciplines.
