Interlocutory Injunction on University of Ghana - Commonwealth Hall

The Accra High Court today has granted the interlocutory injunction on the University of Ghana to refrain from implementing the new residence Policy. The continuing students who were denied access to the Hall can finally  go back to their Halls by first completing their registration until the matter is finally determined.

Meanwhile some Senior Old Vandals have shared that this ruling defines the current circumstances today where the rule of law is tested for fairness and justice. One of the submissionswhich caught the attention of many was Dr. Arthur Kennedy who shared a few message after today's ruling by the Court.

The court has spoken.

3 preliminary rulings to pave the way for the main ruling as UG did its best to delay the inevitable by behaving like a village SHS!

A University is not just to hand out degrees. It should produce citizens, not spectators.

One of its most important functions is to model the highest standards of good citizenship by following the rule of law. It didn't in this case.

And I apologize to all Vandals for doubting a bit the need for OVA when we were told UGA/UGAANA would take care of us. It won't. It doesn't care enough, except for a few exceptions. And we thank those sincerely. Most even don't care enough about Legon and its place in our history and culture. And Sarbah would have just rolled over and sang, " I surrender".

We need to exist, not for our sake but for the sake of Legon and Ghana.

If and when we die, citizenship in Ghana will die too!

One hundred years from now, when we are gone, may there still be people who will fight for Vandalism.

Brothers and sisters, hold your balls or your boobs and shout," Long live Vandalism"!!

Good morning.

Arthur K
